A Dragon Ball anime is composed of 153 half-30 minutes episodes & ran within Japan from either February 26, 1986 - April 12, 1989. Both last tries at releasing Dragon Ball to American audiences failed. A 1st attempt was in the late 1980s. It featured unknown title changes for 100% a characters. It became unknown, so these are known as "The Lost Dub" by fans. A 2nd & extra swell known attempt was inside 1995 with only a 1st 13 episodes translated & aired. This release was put retired by KidMark and utilized Ocean Group for the dubbing. These original Xiii episodes come however available in DVD when The Saga of Goku. When Dragon Ball Z became vastly popular in Cartoon Network, the entire series was translated by FUNimation and released in the equivalent scheduling prevent when its successor on the network. A complete series ran in the America between August 20, 2001 and late 2003, due largely to 20th Television's renewed contract with Toriyama.
